Thirty-three years of Kangxi (1694):

The earliest record of clearly identifying the Shao ethnic group appeared in June of the sixth year of Showa (1931) compiled by Gao Gong in the "Records of Taiwan Fu": Taiwan Electric Power Co., Ltd. began construction of Sun Moon Lake.

In the ninth year of Showa (1934), the Japanese implemented a policy of isolation for the Shao people, and the Shao people were not allowed to move out of other places, and the great-ancestor of the Mawang Lingzhi Chen clan, the head of the tribe, was allocated the territory under his jurisdiction, that is, the area from present-day Yuchi Village to Sima An.

Because of the residence on the bank of Sun Moon Lake, for a long time, collective hunting on the mountain has been the main way of supply and demand, and in recent decades, with the prohibition of government decrees, going to the mountain to collect precious wild medicinal materials for trading has become an important source of livelihood and economic for the Shao people.

With the popularization of the knowledge of the medicinal effects of Ganoderma lucidum and the use of dietary therapy, the tribal people have formed a team to collect, exhibit and sell rare Chinese medicinal materials wholesale and retail centers with the transformation and influence of the new economy, and continue the traditional culture to provide natural and unique local products to consumers.

The founder, as a local Shao ethnic group, felt that Taiwan's native medicinal materials have been closely related to the life and culture of the aborigines for hundreds of years, but the general public does not have a deep understanding of Taiwan's unique Chinese medicinal materials, and specially applied for the establishment of a production and marketing guide hall with the promotion of "Taiwan's local characteristic Chinese medicine" as the main axis, guided by the Nantou County Government, combined with the centralized purchase of raw materials, so as to assist tribal marketing and increase the income of aborigines.
